Weave through highway traffic across three lanes, grab coins and nitro, and see how far you can go

Circuit Racer is a top-down race around a twisting track: three laps, four cars, and a clock that saves your best time. The CPU drivers brake for corners and push hard on the straights, so winning comes down to clean lines rather than raw speed.
Accelerate with the up arrow or W and brake or reverse with the down arrow or S. Steer with the left and right arrows or A and D. With a mouse or on a touch screen, hold down and the car drives toward your pointer.
Top-down racers like Atari's Sprint (1976) and Super Sprint (1986) put the whole track on one screen, so you can see every car and plan the next corner. The view makes racing lines easy to read, which is why the format is still a good way to learn braking points.
Each CPU car has a different top speed and slows for corners. Carry more speed through the bends and pass on the straights.
You probably ran onto the grass. Off the track your top speed drops sharply until you get back on the asphalt.
