Kakuro Guide, Rules, and Tips

Fill the white squares to make every clue add up. Each run is a small number puzzle inside the larger grid.

How to Play

  • Put digits 1–9 in white squares. A clue marked → gives the total for the white squares to its right; ↓ gives the total below.
  • A digit may appear only once within each across or down run. The same digit can appear in different runs.
  • Gold starter digits are fixed. Complete every run to solve a puzzle and move to the next one.

Strategy and Tips

  • Start with short runs: two cells totaling 3 must contain 1 and 2.
  • Use crossing clues to narrow each cell. If a run cannot reach its total, revisit a recent entry.
  • Pencil in possible digits before committing to a difficult crossing.

Controls

KeyboardMouseTouch
