Tank Duel is a top-down tank fight in a small walled arena. Shells bounce off walls up to twice, so a good shot can come around a corner, and a careless one can come back at you. Play a friend on one keyboard or take on a CPU tank that aims, dodges, and hunts you down. First to five hits wins.
Player 1 drives with W and S, turns with A and D, and fires with Space or F. Player 2 drives with the up and down arrows, turns with left and right, and fires with Enter or /. Playing alone, use either set of keys. On a touch screen, hold your finger down to drive toward it; each new touch fires a shell. With two players, each uses their own half of the screen.
Tank duels are one of the oldest video game formats: Atari's Combat (1977), bundled with the Atari 2600, had two players steering tanks around a maze and banking shots off walls. The same one-keyboard, two-player setup is still a quick way to settle a rivalry.
Yes. Player 1 uses W, A, S, D and Space; player 2 uses the arrow keys and Enter.
Yes, but only after it has bounced off a wall. A fresh shell can't hit the tank that fired it.
Five. Each hit is one round; the first player to five wins.
